As a long time nature enthusiast, which continues even though I’m an old broad who can’t hike too far these days, I love Chicks With Ticks. I’m really pleased to see your #7 above – speaking to young people/urbanites about getting out into the wild. I’d even be satisfied with “nature”. I had quite a discussion last night with another blogger about the disconnect that is developing between people in general and the natural world.
Staring into the screen of A Device too many hours a day is (in my humble opinion) de-humanizing. We’re part of nature ourselves, and need people to remind us of that fact – like you!

I love to remind people that we are that – natural – animals – creatures of the earth. It’s important that we can adjust, relate, connect, master, absorb all things in our environment – we forget that soil, water, air, rain, sand, bark, fur are all in our environment – people might be surprised.
